What is SUP? The newest water sport, Stand Up Paddling.
This rapidly growing sport has evolved from ocean wave surfing by putting a paddle in the participant’s hands. This helps increase mobility and balance. Stand Up Paddle Boarding allows you a unique vantage point of the water below and the shore line. You will be amazed at the ease of paddling and the quick learning curve. Most first timers say they have no balance and feel apprehensive about standing up. With our guidance through the learning curve, you will experience a slow paced progression allowing you time to get comfortable with the equipment and the environment.
This adventure will be on Summersville Lake in the no-wake zones lead by a SUP guide. Each participant will be given safety information, on-land training & all the gear needed (including pfd-lifejacket).
Participants need to be able to swim. Trips will meet at 12:30 and return around 4pm. Please let us know if anyone in your group is over 200 lbs. This activity is $79 per person plus tax.
It’s important that participants are in good physical condition, can swim & make our staff aware of any medical conditions. If someone is over 200 lbs, they can still go, we just need to load a specific board. Age requirement is at least 10 years old.
