The National Weather Service in Charleston, WV has noted that this May was the third wettest on record. What does this mean for you? Excellent whitewater rafting conditions! June is here and the summer season is full swing. The New and Gauley Rivers are experiencing the best rafting conditions in 3 years. Now is the time for you to book a trip. Here are some events in June for you to consider.
Father's Day Weekend June 19-21
Bring your Dad and he rafts for half-price on Friday or Sunday on the Lower New River. America's Best Whitewater through the New River Gorge National River. With class 3 to 5 rapids, this is an exciting trip for the entire family. Full day trip with lunch, guide, shuttle service and all necessary equipment is provided.
West Virginia Day June 20
Help West Virginia celebrate it's 146th birthday with an exciting whitewater rafting trip on the New or Gauley River. Enjoy an exciting day on the river then fill up on an old fashion Pig Roast with all the fixin's. Later in the evening, stop by the High Water Lounge and see local old time musicians pickin' and grinnin' showcasing traditional mountain music.
