Songer Whitewater has always been my second family which is not a far stretch since my mom and dad purchased the company in 1982. I have grown up behind the store counter and had many big brothers and sisters looking out for me as I learned the rivers and how to take care of rafting guests.
Evey summer the company evolves and we recruit new employees into what they don't realize at the time is a group they will always be a part of. I also include all the loyal rafting guests in this group. The Alumni of Songer, as I like to say.
It amazes me how far the company has come. From leasing an old gas station to our new, beautiful 100+ acre basecamp Songer ownes! We have taken the guide staff from “good 'ol boys” to “River loving/sharing Adventurist.” I am tremendously proud of this company and know that the Alumni out there are too.
So I am calling on the Songer Alumni to spread the word, in only a way you can, about Songer and the good times we strive to provide. This will be a trying summer to find new guests and the word of mouth, raft trip testimonials, will make all the difference.
While traveling over the holidays to visit with family and friends, share a river story or two and see whos interest you attract.
We are gearing up Songer to be more hospitable than ever and will be ready to take extra good care of the folks that come our way (but you don't need me to tell you that).
