Lower New River Camping Two Day

The Lower New River Rafting Camping 2-Day flat-out has everything. If you like exploring on hikes, gently floating down lazy stretches of river, camping that's cool enough for veterans and easy enough for first timers, and tackling some of the world's best whitewater, you cannot this Adventures on the Gorge getaway! You'll begin the first day by meeting your guides and learning how to pack up river-style. Don't worry about not having enough room--our customized gear boats are like the RVs of whitewater rafting! Soon you'll be on the New River, navigating the always exciting first day's rapids in a ducky. Arriving at camp in the afternoon, you'll begin to relax and enjoy everything that riverside campouts have to offer. On day two, you'll trade your duckies for full size rafts and get ready for the Lower New River. There you'll tackle the big class III, IV, and V rapids that have made our home river famous all over the world. With classic whitewater like Upper & Lower Railroad, Keeney's Creek, and Double Z, there's nothing quite like this section for big thrill rafting! When all's said and done, you'll arrive back at basecamp with plenty of memories to last long past your adventure!

What to Expect:

  • During the shuttle to the river the guides will explain the trip and review the fundamentals of rafting
  • Two days of class I to class III whitewater
  • Each day delicious lunches, dinners, and breakfast are prepared by your guides. Soft drinks are provided at the campsite. If you have special dietary needs, please let our reservation staff know in advance. Always remember while having dessert on the river
  • AOTG provides a limited amount of beer and wine at the campsite. If you would like to bring additional beverages, please make sure it is packed in non-glass containers
  • We encourage you to bring guitars, fishing poles, horseshoes or other fun toys (within reason)! We cannot be responsible for weather or water damages
  • On the return shuttle enjoy a complimentary beverage
