Horseback Riding
Our adventure partners make these great horseback rides possible. For those looking to experience the New River Gorge on horseback, these are the trips for you! Whether you are a beginner or experienced rider, the scenery in and around the New River Gorge is will be appreciated even more when seen by saddle. The horses are friendly, well trained, four-footed friends. There are several different trips to choose, from a sampler to a half day in the saddle. For those new to horseback riding, instruction is available upon request.
What to Wear
To make horseback riding enjoyable, plan ahead and come prepared. The following is a list of what to wear and bring during your trip: closed toed shoes or boots, windbreaker or rain jacket, long sleeve shirt or jacket, long pants or jeans, ball cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellant, camera. After your trip necessities: personal hygiene items, change of clothes, towel, toiletry kit.
