Songer is just minutes from the New River Gorge and the Gauley River. Our base facility has tent camping, rustic cabins and country bunkhouses. And a big bathhouse. And a store. And friendly people doing the same thing you are.

Rustic Cabins

    If you’re looking for something simple, we’ve got it. Get a cabin at the Songer base camp campground and relax. These cabins:

  • Sleep 1-4 people
  • Include electrical outlets
  • Have air conditioning
  • Come mattress-equipped
  • Sorry, but linens aren’t included.
Hemlock Bunkhouses

    Located at the Songer base camp campground are two great big bunkhouses. These are good for that youth group that wants togetherness without camping.

  • Sleep up to 8 people
  • Wooden bunks
  • Bunkhouses have electricity
  • You provide sleeping pads and other bedding.
Camping

    With over 100 level acres to choose from, camping at the Songer base camp is an easy way to enjoy the outdoors. When you camp with us:

  • The shower facilities are clean and spacious
  • There’s always plenty of hot water
  • For larger groups, there is a bonfire camping area that’s available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Camping Package (Add $49)

    Many of our guests stay at the Songer Base Camp for the nights prior to and after their rafting adventure. Camping Package includes:

  • Two nights at the Adventures On The Gorge campground
  • Buffler's Breakfast Buffet
  • Buffler's BBQ Dinner
  • Plenty of room (‘cause, y’know, you’re outside)
